December is coming - it is the season for gifting, celebrating, love and light - and it is the season for the heavy truths of painfully disconnected familiy dinners, forced smiles and superficial happiness, covering up deep unspoken loneliness…

On the way to embrace our ALONENESS - we need to face difficult and painful loneliness - and we need to stay with it - not filling it with our old ways of comforting ourselves..  Yes.. It is utterly painful to feel disconnected, separated, alienated from ourselves and others,  Loneliness is one of those very difficult feelings that most of us try to avoid - we numb it through social media, we distract ourselves, we engage in social connection that maybe doesn’t feel so fulfilling, but at least it takes us away from loneliness.

Leika:

My friend used to tell me: "I'm doing "ALL one" time". I used to tell her "I'm doin me".

When you are Alone or Lonely there’s a difference. There's a difference in choice. When the choice becomes clear and we choose to be alone, have alone time in comparison to: “I feel alone and separated" and I have not chosen. "I’m experiencing to be left out, ignored, abandened, not heard, not listened to, there is a major difference in experience, in embodiment, felt sense and in reality.

The difference is CHOICE & AWARENESS.

No matter who you are, no matter your history, your family book 99% of human beings have experienced loneliness. Loneliness is such a common experience that is left unspoken.

In a horizontal direction Hanne and I are going to take you deep within to explore the opposites of Aloneness and Loneliness,
