Squaring Uranus! Uranus is the ruler of the New Moon!

February 17th 2026 we have a New Moon in Aquarius in the late degrees, 28 degrees, in exact square to Uranus in Taurus.

This is major.

This Solar Eclipse will have a long lasting effect, we will feel this grand opening of release, uproot and new beginning at least till the eclipse season start next year.

Solar eclipses are always a reset, new beginnings, new directions and orientation. So when this solar eclipse is squaring Uranus, the ruler of the solar eclipse we can expect life altering and earth shattering events. Uranus represents breakthrough, lightning, thunderbolts, cut-through-awakening, sudden realizations, liberation, rebellion, revolution and when in Taurus it can literally be felt as earthquakes. Earth will be uprooting old structures, nations, borders, prisons. All for the sake of liberation and the greater good. Aquarius is the sign of the "greater good", of humanity, of equality.

Matters concerning resources, land, nations will be highlighted around the Solar Eclipse. We may raise concern around materialism, assets, resources, ownership both personally (what and who do I own, want to own, think I own) but also as nations, countries. Greed, possesion, possesiveness and control are topics that will arise. We must be careful not to turn into Gollum.

Many native american tribes have a foundational respect of solar eclipses, something to be feared, honored and respected. In some cultures like the Navajo you were to stay inside, stay calm and grounded because of ruptures in space, nature and in the universal energies.

Safety, security, control issues are matters of concern since Uranus is in Taurus. Mother Earth is our most beloved safe space and we are reminded to come back to her. Stay grounded.

We are in for some tense days.

These cosmic events will affect the human psyche and our political, socio-economic ground for months to come. If you are sensitive to energies and if you have planets in the last degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio you will feel and experience this on personal and individual levels. This New Moon will affect all people on planet Earth, no one is immune to these forces but if you have your moon, sun or rising sign in Aquarius you might experience a spiritual awakening or somehow have your personal life uprooted or what was hidden in your Body come into light.

The moon governs water, the water element, liquid forces, as humans consist of ca. 70% water we will feel the ebb and flow, the currents of these waters, and what is deep below, burried, will rise to the surface. As Aquarius is the only sign which consists of two elements; air and water, Aquarius will receive the liquid nectar of wisdom in a divine cup. The eclipse is a hand descended down with a holy urn. It is up to the Aquarian; will you drink it voluntarily with grace and humbleness or will you be forced to swallow the truth and face what you have been trying to ignore. Will you choose Grace or Ugliness? Awakening, divine truth will fill you up one way or the other and your delusions and Ego patterns, selfish desires will crumble and come into the light. The same way with governments and the deep state their manipulations, tyranny and greed will be exposed.

We have the fixed cross (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio create a cross in the chart) being shaken and stirred which might feel very uncomfortable and scary but it is truly only for the greater good and for our awakening. It is for our own liberation and to free ourselves from illusion, delusion, naivety, the claws of Maya.

The New Moon is opposite the very last degrees in Leo emphasizing the urge to step into full authenticity, full empowerment, self reliance and freedom. If you have planets in the last degrees in Leo you will be empowered and come into alignment.

Uranus governs our nervoussystem and can be experienced in the body as electricity. It is therefore of the utmost importance from February 16-18 to calm your nervoussystem down, enter the parasympathetic nervoussystem through pranayama, breathwork, mantra, energy work and guidance, prayer, root down through your root chakra, muladhara to the Earth Star and all the way down to the center of Mother Earth, Gaia.

Uranus is not the only planet governing Aquarius. Saturn is the old, but very much applicable and with strong domineering powers on Aquarius, and must therefore be included in the analysis of Aquaurius and the New Moon.

Saturn is the teacher, Lord of Karma, Lord of Time, he teaches us the lessons that need to be learned. Saturn is traditional, commitment, strict, constricted, narrow and rigid. Saturn represents structure and systems. He uses the voice: "Because it is so.". "Clean up". "A spade is spade". And even though Saturn is the Lord of Karma he is experienced as non-spiritual, he keeps you in Maya, seperation, illusions, until you deliberately break free. Saturn can be experienced as harsh but he is also the provider of boons and blessings. Good karma is real.

Saturn has just moved into Aries from slumber, nostalgic and mysterious Pisces and into firey, headstrong and very dynamic Aries giving us an extra notch of high energy and instead of entering the parasympathetic nervoussytem we elevate and boost the sympatheic nervoussytem. Saturn looses his touch in Pisces, as Pisces is the sign of borderlessness, structural chaos. On february 17 Saturn has just moved into Aries, another sign where he does not thrive. Aries is the first sign in the zodiac and therefore Karma has not yet been set. It is a clean slate and Saturn has no direction or purpose yet. Saturn looses his power and influence in Aries.

This can be felt in the humanpsyche as turbulence, confussion, too many directions and opportunities. Too many options and temptations everywhere. "Come here" "Desire" "Desire" "Ego Power" "War" "Violence" "Sex" "Innocence" "Purity" A door opens" "Come here"...

Where to go?

Again. STAY GROUNDED and true to your heart and soul. Remember the liquid divine wisdom in the urn, drink it with grace and share it with others.

This New Moon will have us feeling restless. The New Moon is also very close to Mars (Weak conjunction). Aquarius coverns the nervous system as well as blood so Mars will most likely raise your blood pressure a bit and provoke your psyche into a higher alert state, maybe even get you on the war path. We may be sliding from exhaustion, tiredness, feeling drained into restlessness, tension, agressive, on our toes and anxiety during this New Moon and Solar Eclipse.

The Solar Eclipse in Aquarius is truly a gift to us. It is a beautiful reset. It is about new beginnings. very new, fresh beginnings. New direction, new identity, new stories.

If you are scattered, restless, worried this will be amplified by Mars and the eclipse. If you are grounded, vertical, stable you will leap forward.

On February 17 it is the turning point in Chinese Astrology where we leave the Year of the Wood Snake and step into the Year of the Fire Horse. This increases the urge and desire for activation, moving forward and stepping into full power. Mars and Uranus are there to excelerate the push.

We begin with 15-20 min astrological lecture to get the highlights and an understanding of the currents affecting this New Moon in Aquarius.

We will venture into meditation, pranayama, guide the energy and continue with Slow Flow and Yin Yoga.
